Consultant Therapeutic Optometrists
The Pacific Eye Institute is looking for consultant therapeutic optometrists to assist in the

provision of refraction instruction and supervision. PEI offers training courses that are tailored to the Pacific region's particular eye health needs. Students gain a solid academic basis for their practice and considerable supervised practical experience at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital and PEI Eye Clinic in Suva, Fiji.

One Refraction Lecturer is required to cooperatively provide in-classroom lectures and in-clinic supervision to eye nurses enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Eye Care and eye doctors enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology. You can find the full job description here.

Multiple Refraction Clinical Supervisors are also required, each with a minimum of four weeks duration,  to cooperatively provide in-clinic supervision in refraction to eye nurses enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Eye Care and eye doctors enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology. These positions provide a daily consultancy rate dependent on experience/qualification as well as travel, accommodation, travel insurance and indemnity costs.
